About This Site: Why a Bilingual Blog

Why this blog exists
For years my notes have been scattered across tools: some in local documents, some buried in chat history, and some only in my head. Turning them into public posts gives me a reason to review what I have learned, and, I hope, saves someone else a few hours when they run into the same problem.
I write in two languages because I work and read in both. Much of the primary material on technical topics is in English, while Chinese is often the more natural language for me to think in. The English posts are not word-for-word translations; each version is written to read naturally on its own.
Sections and tags
Posts are grouped into four sections:
| Section | What you will find |
|---|---|
| Essays | Opinions and reflections |
| Tutorials | Step-by-step guides you can follow |
| Tech | Design notes, internals and lessons learned |
| Life | Things outside of work |
Tags group posts by topic across sections. A tutorial, for example, lives in Tutorials but also carries tags for the technologies it covers.
How the two languages relate
Pairs and missing translations
Posts about the same topic are linked by a shared pairing key. At the top of each post you can jump straight to the other language. When a translation does not exist yet, the page says so clearly instead of sending you to an empty page.
Writing and publishing
Every post is a Markdown file kept under version control. Drafts go to a review area first, move into the published content folder once reviewed, and must pass automated checks before they go live. The workflow is described in detail in a Chinese-only post for now: 写作与发布流程.
